While many gamers are experiencing the adventures of Connor told in Assassin’s Creed III, Ubisoft officially announced that there will be an Assassin’s Creed 4 and its output will be in 2014, probably by the end of March then, despite the video game industry is undergoing the blows of the crisis, fans of the hit series can rest easy.

If we look at previous release strategy, Ubisoft seems to confirm its policy of launching a new game every year, and just remembering the recent past, we believe that the release of the new title will slip at the end of October or November, as the previous chapters of the saga.

Having announced that Assassin’s Creed III has already reached 12 million copies, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said: “We are proud to announce that during fiscal year 2014 will introduce a new Assassin’s Creed, with a new hero, a new setting and a new development team. It will be another step forward for the franchise. This is the benefit of having multiple developers working on more chapters of the product, each takes a few years for his version of Assassin’s Creed.

Guillemot also provided a series of rumors unexpected, especially after the choice of the temporal location of Assassin’s Creed III. The CEO said in fact that the next chapter of the saga will feature a new hero and a new historical period. You might think that the reason for these changes could be accounted for by the weak psychological profile of Connor would not fully convinced the players, certainly the Indian does not have the verve of his predecessors Ezio and Altair but the likely choice to replace it surprised everyone.

Unfortunately, we do not know if the next Assassin’s Creed will be fully developed for next-generation consoles, but considering the time period for its release, Assassin’s Creed 4 could also be one of the titles that will be used just for the launch of the long-awaited next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox 720.

Everything is still uncertain, but we are confident that Ubisoft will soon release new details.
